The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed with regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of read more clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The services level established for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough to sassa status the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all buyers and maximize usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
